Talk:The Thief of Baghead

The goofs section is kinda riddled with questions. These should probably be rephrased or brought here for answers. I don't want to delete anything from the page since I don't have an account. They are as follows:

If the Professor knew his gun would take so long to warm up, why didn't he turn it on while he was waiting for the performance to begin?
The answer here is senility, obviously.
It's a gag. One of his catchphrases is "whaaa?"
Langdon Cobb's house had a fifty foot force field around it, so how did his ego get out from its grounds to contest hall?
The ego grew to a very large size before escaping, so it's reasonable to assume that it grew large enough to scale or jump over the fence.
It may have also exited the way Cobb did, through the door. It may be smart enough to open doors, just because it resembles a dog doesn't mean it has dog IQ. 12:59, 8 July 2012 (CEST)
If Bender's camera is simply a none[sic] futuristic film camera, then shouldn't the heat of the fire he hid in to take Langdon Cobb's photo, have caused the camera to melt or the film to burn[?]
This one I don't actually have an answer to. This would actually be a goof.
The camera may have film inside (though it is not explained if it uses Y2000 standard film or "film", as in made in Y3000) but it does not resemble any known cameras. It's safe to assume it is a Y3K camera, with film, that protects the electronics/mechanics. Also, it may be a camera made for robots, to higher demands and with increased resilience. 12:59, 8 July 2012 (CEST)
The Professor explains that looking upon a Quantum Litchen drains any living things life force, so why does it reduce the body, to a deflated husk? Shouldn't the bones, muscle, fat and blood remain?
No answer for this one either.
Even for a robot, shouldn't drinking battery acid, corrode their insides?
Since it's likely that Calculon is made of steel, the oxidation would be slow enough to not cause fatal damage.
Following running gags, Bender is 40% titanium, platinum, steel, boron, etc. With such a combo, any robot, especially main characters (Calculon is very old, and has been "updated" every 30 years to look like a different robot) could be immune to acid. After all, most were initially built to be all-rounders, especially old ones, so it makes sense they were build for industrial work. 12:59, 8 July 2012 (CEST)
Also, "drinking" puts alcohol in the fuel cells. On a full tank, the acid might have been diluted enough to not matter. 12:59, 8 July 2012 (CEST) 07:08, 6 July 2012 (CEST)

I agree that some of these are unnecessary, particularly the first one. In any case, they shouldn't be in the form of a question. - UnrealLegend (talk) 11:23, 6 July 2012 (CEST)
When Langden Cobb says "I found a different kind of prey", Zoidberg sais "Explaaain" immitating Dalek speech from Doctor Who. The accent and intonation is spot on, I'm fairy sure this was a tribute. Add to allusions/trivia? 22:19, 20 September 2012 (CEST)

around 14.30 in:

Leela: Professor, what's your status? Professor: Not good. The attention Cobb's receiving is inflating his ego. It's going totally Kanye.

This is a reference to Kanye West. -- the preceding unsigned comment was written by
