Welcome!

Welcome to the Infosphere! We're glad to have you as a member. If you need any help, feel free to ask anyone on the welcoming committee. You can also post questions on the FAQ talk page.

New users must read the Help pages before creating a new page.

Here are some tips to get you started:

  • If you need general information, editing tips, or answers to frequently asked questions, check out the help page.
  • Before you do any significant editing, be sure to familiarize yourself with our wiki standards and our Manual of Style.
    • If you have an idea for a major change that will help The Infosphere, suggest it over at the Conference Table.
  • If you want to create a new article, make sure that it doesn't already exist and that the article you've created is linked to from another article. Our article templates should help you out.
  • If you're not sure what you can do to help out, head over to current events.
  • To practice editing, go over to the playground.
  • You can help decide what's on the Main Page by voting on Featured Articles or making new nominations.
  • You can also use "{{subst:UserpageTemplate}}" on your Userpage, if you wish to have a simple starting point. Additionally, you can make use of userboxes
  • Remember to sign your posts to talk pages by using four tildes (~~~~). Alternatively, you can create a custom signature at User:DannyJC13/sig, and insert it by typing {{User:DannyJC13/sig}}, preferably followed by five tildes to insert the date. This can also be configured on the Special:Preferences page.
  • If you have a personal website (Futurama-centric or completely unrelated), feel free to add it to the Community Portal
  • Above all, be sure to be bold and have fun!

Feel free to delete this message when you're done reading it. After all, your user space belongs to you. I hope this information is helpful, and that you'll have a good experience contributing to our knowledge-base and our community.

Source on season 7 titles

Hi! Do you have a source to go with this edit? - akitalk 18:21, 19 August 2011 (CEST)

Don't worry, I fixed it. --Sviptalk 18:35, 19 August 2011 (CEST)

Volume 5

Why did you capitalise "limited edition"? Sanfazer (talk) 22:35, 22 November 2011 (CET)

  • It's neater.
Well, wikis are not about being "neat". They are about being correct. So, as there is nothing about the words "limited" and "edition" that requires capitalisation, I shall undo your edit. Or did you have an additional reason for it? Sanfazer (talk) 22:46, 22 November 2011 (CET)
Do whatever you want.
Okay, then. It's been undone. Thanks for clearing this up. Sanfazer (talk) 22:51, 22 November 2011 (CET)

Comic covers

Are the images with which you replaced those of the original covers images of U.K. covers or are they just as original? If they are images of U.K. covers, the old ones should probably be restored. Sanfazer (talk) 22:46, 17 March 2012 (CET)

I took them all from Bongo's website, so yeah, they're the American covers. Not hard to tell, the UK covers have side bar on them and wouldn't say $. :p DannyJC13 (talk) 22:49, 17 March 2012 (CET)
Oops. Didn't notice that. However, what I meant by "original covers" was "first-edition covers", not "American covers". Your images must be from a later edition. I'm going to put the other ones back. Sanfazer (talk) 22:55, 17 March 2012 (CET)
I only did it because it was better quality. I mean, does the edition really matter? DannyJC13 (talk) 23:04, 17 March 2012 (CET)
I'd say so - because, for one thing, the colours differ in some of them. Also, these could be re-added as alternate covers. (See the infobox in the Monkey Sea, Monkey Doom! article.) What a shame that I didn't think of this a few minutes ago... If I get the chance, I may do it tomorrow. In the meantime, feel free to do it yourself. Sanfazer (talk) 23:22, 17 March 2012 (CET)
From what I've seen the covers on the Bongo website are the first edition covers, and there's never been second printings of Futurama single issues in the US as far as I'm aware. I've compared the Australian print of Common Clod to the two and the colour is about half way. Rust in Piece, which I've got the US edition of is a slightly different colour to the Bongo website one, but that is closer. The difference is probably caused by ink/paper quality. We get the covers from one of three sources:
  • The solicitation, which usually has a slightly different colour to the final version, sometimes completely different, and often lacks the title caption that goes on the final one. The only advantage is that it is available 3 months ahead of the others.
  • A scan of the actual print comic, these ones are the only version with a barcode, but may be effected by the quality of the scanner.
  • Version from Bongo website, starting from issue #50 when the site launched I replaced the solicit version with their version rather than looking for, or scanning, a print version for the main image (I did, however, scan the wrap around cover).
If there are alternate US printings of any comic (I think #1 is the only one with two printings) we need all versions. - Quolnok (talk) 04:10, 18 March 2012 (CET)
So the new images are preferred, right? The new images for "Rust in Peace" and "Futurama Comics 60" are the ones with the most different colours. The new images for "Who's Dying to Be a Gazillionaire?" and "Robot Santa's Little Helpers" are missing the Bongo logo and a planet respectively. The pages for the first two should have both images. What should the pages for the second two have? Sanfazer (talk) 15:25, 18 March 2012 (CET)
Yep, I'd say so. #60's previous image was the solicitation one, and they seem to be consistently changing to a drastically different final version lately. The US version of "Robot Santa's Little Helpers" definitely doesn't have the planet near the top. I can't check Gazillionaire, but the version on the back of Futurama Adventures does have the Bongo logo, so that's a bit odd. - Quolnok (talk) 12:05, 29 March 2012 (CEST)
Do you think that it has something to do with "Futurama Adventures" including "Gazillionaire"?
I've just undone some of my edits to the comic articles and re-added the new images to the aforementioned first two and to Robot Santa's Little Helpers. Can you get someone who can check "Gazillionaire" to make sure that the logo isn't on the cover - so that I can re-add File:Futurama Comic 5.jpg to its article - or do we not need that? Sanfazer (talk) 22:06, 29 March 2012 (CEST)

Template:News

Was this announced today? Sanfazer (talk) 20:11, 29 March 2013 (CET).

The TV guide is only saying "Benderama" is airing tonight, it's immediately followed by The Middle. I checked the Radio Times TV guide and it says "Neutopia" will be airing next week at the same time. DannyJC13 (talk) 20:13, 29 March 2013 (CET)
But was that information available on 5 March? If it wasn't, there should be a new entry in the template. Sanfazer (talk) 20:15, 29 March 2013 (CET).
Well it wasn't really "announced" on any date, Sky have just changed it so that "Neutopia" airs next week instead. DannyJC13 (talk) 20:18, 29 March 2013 (CET)
Oh. Then it's probably best to say it was announced today. I'm going to take care of it now. Sanfazer (talk) 20:21, 29 March 2013 (CET).
No problem. :) DannyJC13 (talk) 20:21, 29 March 2013 (CET)

I just noticed that the last time I posted here was exactly a year ago. Do you happen to want to celebrate? Sanfazer (talk) 21:24, 29 March 2013 (CET).

Sure thing! DannyJC13 (talk) 00:16, 30 March 2013 (CET)
Thanks. Sanfazer (talk) 00:31, 30 March 2013 (CET).

Image naming

Avoid CamelCase and the like. (My most recent edit.) Sanfazer (talk) 23:25, 13 April 2013 (CEST).

Seriously, though. Sanfazer (talk) 06:04, 12 July 2013 (CEST).

Please try not to forget. Sanfazer (talk) 02:19, 1 September 2013 (CEST).

Reminder.

Also, this. Sanfazer: [talk] 18:08, 6 September 2014 (CEST).

[Sanfazer coughs very badly.] (Actually I have been.) Sanfazer: [talk] 22:05, 1 February 2016 (CET).

Assie Come Home

I understand you undid my edit because you were bringing the gallery back, but you actually did more than that. Please be more careful next time. Sanfazer (talk) 00:10, 28 May 2013 (CEST).

The only change was the removal of the gallery? DannyJC13 (talk) 00:31, 29 May 2013 (CEST)
What do you mean? No. I did a few more things. Sanfazer (talk) 11:32, 29 May 2013 (CEST).

"Leela and Fry on a Swing Made of People"

How do you know this is from "Meanwhile"? Sanfazer (talk) 22:20, 12 June 2013 (CEST).

If it really is from "Meanwhile", a few pages will have to be changed later. Sanfazer (talk) 22:58, 12 June 2013 (CEST).

I'm assuming it is from "Meanwhile", the Countdown never (usually) released more than 4 previews of a single episode in a row, and it doesn't seem to fit in anywhere with "Stench and Stenchibility". It's just kind of common sense too. :s DannyJC13 (talk) 23:27, 12 June 2013 (CEST)
I agree, but we need a source anyway. Sanfazer (talk) 23:40, 12 June 2013 (CEST).
Stick a [citation needed] on it, I guess. DannyJC13 (talk) 23:42, 12 June 2013 (CEST)
Oh so you undo all my edits. Getting sick of this now, I know we try and run this place at a high standard but sometimes it feels like a joke. DannyJC13 (talk) 23:43, 12 June 2013 (CEST)
I know what you mean, but this is the right way to do things.
The "citation needed" template is only for when there is a source, and it just hasn't been added yet. Sanfazer (talk) 23:49, 12 June 2013 (CEST).
You know the image of Fry in carbonite didn't have a source until I asked Lee Supercinski on Twitter, you didn't seem bothered about that. DannyJC13 (talk) 23:52, 12 June 2013 (CEST)
You mean this one? That's from the countdown. Sanfazer (talk) 23:56, 12 June 2013 (CEST).
Oh. Never mind. I thought you were talking about the actual source of the image, not the episode it came from.
I guess I didn't notice. (If I had noticed, I would have taken it out of the article. Same story.) Sanfazer (talk) 00:02, 13 June 2013 (CEST).

List of song performances

Good point. I thought it had been unintentional. Sanfazer (talk) 22:36, 10 July 2013 (CEST).

You probably already have, but mind checking over the lyrics for me? I'm not sure I got everything right, such as the "401(k)" part. :s DannyJC13 (talk) 22:43, 10 July 2013 (CEST)
Played it in super-slow motion. The only thing I'm not sure of is whether or not there should be a "G" in "packing". Sanfazer (talk) 23:07, 10 July 2013 (CEST).

Orphan pages

When you create an article, make sure that other articles link to it. Otherwise the article is useless.

Stench and Stenchibility

You mean as Tonya? I think that's Lauren Tom. Sanfazer (talk) 12:57, 29 August 2013 (CEST).

Nope, it's Tara. Even check the credits. DannyJC13 (talk) 13:00, 29 August 2013 (CEST)
Oh. Okay. Sorry. Sanfazer (talk) 13:01, 29 August 2013 (CEST).

Articles that I wanna make

While you're free to create the articles listed on my user page, please try not to take all of your subjects from there.

Also, this. Sanfazer: [talk] 19:24, 8 September 2014 (CEST).

Please make a different article before making another of these. Sanfazer: [talk] 17:58, 15 September 2014 (CEST).

Could we not have a general page of articles that need making, then? Also, it's not like you own the rights to those articles, this is a Wiki after all. Just trying to help out. DannyJC13 (talk) 18:07, 15 September 2014 (CEST)
Yes. That's a good idea. I'm gonna try and make one.
No. Of course I don't. I just thought you shouldn't only make articles from my list (so I could make them too). Sanfazer: [talk] 18:22, 15 September 2014 (CEST).
Well, if you can try and make one I'd happily work on making articles from that instead of your page. DannyJC13 (talk) 18:38, 15 September 2014 (CEST)
That's the idea. :) ([aggressively] My page is off-limits!) Sanfazer: [talk] 18:52, 15 September 2014 (CEST).
I enjoy making pages for Products within the show, so fire as many of them as you can at me. :) DannyJC13 (talk) 18:59, 15 September 2014 (CEST)
I'll try. :) (I usually add articles for things I notice when I'm watching an episode.) Sanfazer: [talk] 19:46, 15 September 2014 (CEST).
No problem, thanks. :) DannyJC13 (talk) 19:50, 15 September 2014 (CEST)
No problem. Sanfazer: [talk] 21:18, 15 September 2014 (CEST).

Night of the Automated Dead

Is this the order they're mentioned in? Sanfazer: [talk] 17:12, 22 November 2014 (CET).

Fixed it, will double check the issue later, too. DannyJC13 (talk) 16:53, 23 November 2014 (CET)
Thanks. Sanfazer: [talk] 20:08, 23 November 2014 (CET).

How far are you in Game of Drones?

Assuming you're still on Mars University, I can get screenshots of up to Chapter 10 if you want to continue with the plot summary. 162.158.104.191 01:24, 24 August 2016 (CEST)

That would be very helpful, thanks! I'm on currently on level 172. :) DannyJC13 (talk) 22:06, 24 August 2016 (CEST)
Here you go :) 162.158.104.203 09:32, 1 September 2016 (CEST)
