How do we know Sal hails from Australia? I've never seen anything to suggest such a thing.-UnrealLegend (talk) 02:35, 21 March 2013 (CET)

We don't. His accent suggests Italian American. Also, I'm not sure Australia (in universe) is noteworthy enough to have a page. But I guess we have entered the "everything gets a page" phase. - Quolnok (talk) 05:29, 21 March 2013 (CET)
The 'everything gets a page' is not meant as a blanket cheque for everything. What? Should we have an article for the third prime minister of Australia as well? No. Only things that gets mentioned on Futurama or has a relevance to Futurama in some fashion. But sure you ask, Australian Man comes from Australia, but the problem is; he is just called 'Australian Man', nothing about Australia is otherwise important. We don't see his home country or any more than the fact that he is a stereotype. Unlike Germany or France, both of which are actually visited in Futurama (albeit briefly).
So this article is likely to go on my to delete list; because it does not provide any information that no other article could handle, moreover, it does not link between its article in a more meaningful way than the other articles could handle.
The purpose of these - otherwise obscure articles - is to ask 'how often is Australia mentioned on Futurama?' and having an article to answer that; but if it is not mentioned itself (i.e. not just in the context of the Australian Man), then the article serves no purpose and a lack of an article would provide the answer: no times. --Sviptalk 16:26, 21 March 2013 (CET)
