Randy Munchnik first appeared in I, Roommate as a member of the mob seeking to get Bender evicted from the building. John DiMaggio thought "he needed to be heard" and gave him an effeminate voice. He owns the jewellery store Diamonds Are Forever and lives in a rent controlled apartment. He is also seen coaching a maternity water aerobics class in Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love?. He is clearly gay and when the polar ice caps melted he built an ark with his life partner filled with animals of the same sex.
