Trivia

  • Gaining entry into Mexico is either a difficult or very easy process in the 31st century. One can produce multiple forms of documentation to a border official, or one can simply bribe that official (6ACV06).
  • The build quality of Mexican robots is questionable; when Bender revealed his "Hecho en Mexico" engraving, he closed his chest door and it promptly fell off (3ACV01).
    • As a counterargument, because Bender was also built without a backup unit, the policy was that he was supposed to have been scrapped; however, it was Hermes who decided that despite his defect he should be allowed to live (6ACV06).

Quotes

Referee: Ladies and gentlemen and smizmars, welcome to tonight's main event. In this corner, from Mom's Friendly Robot Factory in America's heartland, Mexico: Bender!

Bender: [In Electric Ladyland Laptop Dances.] Hubba-hubba, she is built — in Mexico, I believe.

Bender: Whoa, whoa, whoa! I'm Mexican and I find that offensive. [He opens his chest cabinet. "Hecho En Mexico" is etched on the inside of his door. He closes it and it falls off.]

Bender: Oh, no? I'm 40% lucky. [He bangs on his chest twice.] The scrap metal I'm made from included a truckload of horseshoes from the luckiest racehorses in Mexico, who had just been sent to a glue factory.
