Mobile app
A mobile app (short for "mobile application") is a software application designed to run on smartphones, tablet computers, and other mobile devices. Mobile apps started to be commercialised in 2008.
In Futurama, mobile apps have been both mentioned and seen.

- In "Attack of the Killer App", Dr Beeler says that the eyePhone has an app for knowing how long one has been waiting, and that there are several apps for kissing one's shiny metal ass, and Mom says that Twitcher is the killer app.
- In "Fry Am the Egg Man", Leela says that she will use that free app that tells you what restaurants you are near, and by "that free app" she means the ship's window.
- In "The Inhuman Torch", Fry tells Bender that he found him in the Arctic because he used the "find my robot" app.
- In "Assie Come Home", Tarquin says that he can feel in his weather-channel app that a storm is brewing.
- In "Game of Tones", Hermes uses an app that helps identify melodies.
