Futurama is (presumably) an animated television series created by Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons, and David X. Cohen, also a writer for The Simpsons. Set in the year 4000, it was introduced in the Intergalactic Comic-Con in August of 3010 and was immediately cancelled, even before being aired on TV.
