Countdown to Futurama

Countdown to Futurama was an Internet countdown conducted by Comedy Central InsiderComedy Central's news site — and Comedy Central's Tumblr blog to the premieres of broadcast seasons 7 through 10 of Futurama with releases of promotional content. It was written by Matt Tobey [dead link] and Gonzalo Cordova, [dead link] who only wrote in 2010, between 25 May and 8 June, and it showed stills, storyboards, videos, and concept art for the upcoming episodes.

Countdown to Futurama 2010 began on 5 May, 2010, and released material from broadcast season 7 each weekday until 23 June; Futurama's 12 Days of Xmas Countdown began on 9 November, 2010, and released material from "The Futurama Holiday Spectacular"; Countdown to Futurama 2011 began on 4 May, 2011, and released material from broadcast season 8 every day until 22 June; Countdown to Reincarnation began on 2 September, 2011, and released material from "Reincarnation"; Countdown to Futurama 2012 began on 1 May, 2012, and released material from broadcast season 9 until 19 June; and Countdown to Futurama 2013 began on 30 April, 2013, and released material from broadcast season 10 every day until 18 June. All four Countdowns to Futurama started off fifty days before a season premiere.

On 2 May, 2012, Comedy Central's Tumblr blog began making posts not previously made by Comedy Central Insider.
